PMTT TOP GUN AWARD

The prestigious PMTT Top Gun Team of the Year Award is presented at the conclusion of the Ranger Boats World Championship. This award shall be determined by the team with the highest total of all points accumulated by all teams that have fished in at least two (2) or more of the qualifying events. All points accumulated at the Invitational shall also count towards the Top Gun Award.

Top Gun- Team Of The Year Award

• The Top Gun team of the year shall receive a Free entry into all of the following year PMTT qualifying events*.
• The second place Top Gun team shall receive Free entries into Two separate PMTT qualifying events the following year*.
• The third place Top Gun team shall receive Free entry into One of the PMTT qualifying events the following year*.

*All Free Entries are Non-Transferable

The first, second and third place winners of the Top Gun awards will have those starting positions, respectively, at all qualifying events for the following year.

QUALIFICATION

NEW TOP GUN AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION

 

New Top Gun and World Championship qualification scoring shall be as follows.

 

1) The first place team at any event receives 150 standings points. Each subsequent place receives one fewer standings point. (For example: 2^nd place receives 149 points, 3rd place receives 148 points, etc.) Standings points will only be awarded for teams that place in an event by catching a legal fish. (i.e. if there are only 25 teams that catch legal fish, all the remaining teams shall receive no standings points.)

 

2) Each team will also receive 10 attendance points for competing at each event.

3) Failure to catch a fish at an event will result in contestants receiving only 10 attendance points and zero standings points.


The four qualifying event winners will not get an automatic invite to the championship. The four event winners will be invited to competed in the championship only if they have competed in at least two of the qualifying events. They do NOT need to be in the top 50 to receive an invite.
